Book: Dragonriders of Pern
Author: Anne McCaffrey
While Dragonriders of Pern has a wonderful plot and captured my attention as soon as I began reading it, the second half feels as if the reader is suddenly yanked out of the action and dangled above the plot. Consequently, the only real character development revolves around F’lar and Lessa and then only in the beginning.
