The creator of James Bond, Ian Fleming, would have been 100 years old today, May 28! Fleming began his famous spy novels with “Casino Royale” in 1953 and wrote over 20 books, many of which were made into movies. Since his death in 1964, several authors have continued to pen Bond novels. The latest, called “Devil May Care”, written by Sebastian Faulks, is being launched today for what would be Ian Fleming’s 100th birthday. Mr. Faulks is the latest of several authors to have penned Bond novels in the wake of Fleming’s death. To hear an NPR interview and read an excerpt of this latest Bond adventure, click here.
