Lockowitz- Period 3
Rockstar Superstar, by Blake Nelson is about a boy named Pete who loves to play and listen to music. The thing for Pete is that he needs to make a decision that he can stick with. His friend Nick had just asked him to join his band “Tiny Masters of Today” but knowing that he is already in a band “Mad Skillz” he has to turn down one. Since the band members of Mad Skillz all go away to college, he decides to take part in Nick’s band. After being in the band for awhile, Pete finds himself to be more outgoing, attractive, and more sensitive. His girlfriend Margaret decides to break up with him because the Tiny Masters of Today have gone big. The band has reached the spot where you have to travel far and come back weeks later. How far does the band get? Find out in Rockstar Superstar.
If you like to read about music and romance, you would like to read this book. I really liked this book because I can relate to Pete very well. We both have the same interests and thought alike. One part of the story that caught my attention was when Pete and Margaret started get more involved in their relationship. I found this interesting because I didn’t think that Pete would go that far. This is an easy to read book and is very interesting if you are in a band, or like to listen to music. I would rate this book a 9 out of 10 because how the story is written.
