In the book “Gossip Girl” by Cecily Von Ziegesar, it is about how young teenaged kids learn to live in the adult world and take care of themselves through out drama. Blair Waldorf is the head leader of her school since Serena left. She is the most popular girl in school and will do anything to be and stay the most popular girl in her school, even though she has to lie and stab her friends in the back. Her boyfriend is Nate Archibald who attends an all boy school right down the street from where Blair goes. Blair goes to an all girl school as well. Nate is the most handsome guy in the Upper East. He is popular and athletic but he also has a major problem which a lot of guys suffer through in there teenaged years: he has a drug addiction. Even though he is addicted to drugs, all of the girls still like him. Blair thinks that she and Nate will be together forever like in Cinderella, but her dreams crash down piece by piece. Her dreams get crushed down by her ex-best friend Serena van der Woodsen .Serena returned from her Connecticut boarding school. Serena and Blair used to be best friends till she left Blair all alone at Constance Billard School. Blair was devastated but yet she was happy that Serena was gone because now that Serena was gone Blair took all the power. Blair was very jealous of Serena when she attended Constance Billard. Serena was the blond, beautiful, and charming girl that could steal the heart of anyone’s boyfriend instantly. Blair didn’t know that Serena has been talking and hanging out with Nate, but if she did know about that than it would be a whole different ball game. But Serena and Nate had a secret, one that could rip Blair into pieces. If you want to know the secret that Serena and Nate hide from Blair than just pick this book up and start reading.

After reading this book, I realized how being tied into drama isnt that fun. I realized that girls go through with this everyday and nothing is done to stop this. I realized that sometimes you aren’t the only girl that goes through this but others suffer as well.If you like top drama and gossip about girls than this is the right book for you. Personally I recommend this book to girls because I don’t think that a guy would like to read about gossip and about how girls go through there lives struggling over what to wear and how they look. This is a great book for young girls to read. By young girls reading this they will begin to know what the real life of a teenaged girl is and they should live life the fullest and not want to grow up so fast.
