Dave goes on a journey to overcome many hurdles in life; he is confronted with many obstacles that would stop most people. In the book A Man Named Dave by Dave Pelzer is a heartwarming and non forgettable book. Given the chance Dave is excepted in the air force and tries to live up to his fathers and mothers expectations. With the stress of that Dave soon get tragic news that his father has passed away. Leaving Dave with nothing, he tries to soon forget about it and move on, but it is to hard when that is all Dave ever had.

The book takes life to a whole new level. I soon realized how much I have compared to other families in the world today. Dave coming from a hard and un-warming family makes me feel that i take many things for granted.
