I read the book Gears of War Aspho Fields by Karen Traviss. This book is the prequel to on of the best selling video games of the 21st century. It follows the main characters from both games (Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago) and a few new characters are added in, one of them being Carlos Santiago Dom’s older brother. During the book you get to see what life is like in the present day and in the past when Carlos Dom and Marcus grew up together. Now as humanity struggles to survive on the planet of Sera from the oncoming army of the Locust horde, the terrible memories from the battle at Aspho Fields during the Pendulum Wars comes back to haunt Marcus and Dom.

This was one of my top favorite books of all time, I would give this book a 9 out of 10. The book was full of funny little moments and some were very sad and shocking. I would recommend this book to anyone who love the games of likes to read action sci-fi books.
