Wise – Period 7
This book The truth about forever by Sarah Dessen was about a girl named Macy Queen She is 16 years old and her perfect, genius boyfriend, Jason, goes to Brain Camp over summer. Later he puts their relationship on “hold”.She has a job at the library that she hates but cannot quit. She thinks that she has to be perfect for her mother and Jason. Her dad passed away a year ago and it seems like that her mom and her have the hardest time moving forward. Macy stopped running after that incident. Running was her passion and she thought she couldn’t run anymore. She tries to make her mom happy by studying every night and making a schedule for her life. When she started a new job at Wish for Delia, she started to become happier and realized many things she hadn’t before. A guy named Wes, also worked there. They had become good friends and they are both “forbidden”. He has a girl friend who is a troublemaker and she has a boyfriend in brain camp. A new friend of Macy thinks they were meant to be, but it was obvious to Macy, that they weren’t.
I would suggest this book to mostly girls. Girls that are crazy for a good love story and drama. A boy can read this book, but he wouldn’t understand the girls mind. It feels to me, that this book was made for a girl. I think a boy would get confused as he reads. So, if you love a good drama, this book is the right one for you.
