I read the book Soul Surfer. It is the story behind the pro surfer Bethany Hamilton. Bethany Hamilton was surfing with her best friend Alana at Napali Coast which is one of the safest places to surf, or well it was until Bethany was attacked by a shark. She was attacked by a tiger shark which is one of the stronger sharks almost as close to being as strong as a great white. Bethany lost her arm and the first thing she said when she woke up from the surgery and getting her arm fixed was “When can I surf again?” she is the most motivated surfer she has great courage and passion for this sport and she wont ever give it up. Not even the fact of getting attacked by a shark could make her lose her dream. She is a very spoken girl and she shares her story around the world.

Bethany Hamilton lives in Hawaii, Kauai. She is a pro surfer in Hawaii. She gets home-schooled by her parents and she does get homework like we do. She got attacked when she was 13 in 2004 and now she is 18 and still living her dream. She is a very inspiring teenager to many and someone who is willing fight for what she loves doing.
