BLOG INSTRUCTIONS

Posting to the SHS Book Blab Blog

Step 1:

Retrieve Edublogs Username and Password from Stevenson student e-mail.

Step 2: Go to the Edublogs Homepage: http://edublogs.org/

Step 3: Login to Edublogs Homepage using retrieved Username and Password

Step 4: Go to “Primary Blog

Step 5: Change drop down to http://shsbookblab.edublogs.org

Step 6: Click on Posts

Step 7: Add New

Step 8:

Title Section

  • Type in your book title and author name for example: Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

Body Section

  • Type “Review by (your first name last initial)”
  • Type “(Teacher’s last name) – Period (#)”
  • Write your review

Step 8:

  • Post Tags
  • In lower case letters type the genre of your book. Below are some genre examples:

adventure, autobiography, award winner, biography, chick-lit, fantasy, fiction, historical fiction, humor, memoir, movie tie-in, mystery, non-fiction, realistic fiction, romance, sci-fi, tear jerker

By creating tags, we will be able to search for other books that have those tags. You may select more than one genre by separating them with a comma or typing genres separately. The book will be listed under one or more genres for example: fantasy,movie tie-in

Step 9:

  • Scroll down to “All Categories
  • Check the box next to your class: for example “Fresh. Independent Reading,” “Literary Analysis” or “Sophomore English CP.”
  • Check Your Teachers Name (Argentar, Brown, Colan, Lockowitz or Wise)

Step 10:

When you finished typing your review:

  • Spell check
  • Preview Post

Click “Submit for Review

If you have not finished your post and would like to return to it later, click “Save” Approved Posts will appear at http://shsbookblab.edublogs.org
