She was very well known at her school and she had a boyfriend named Colin. Everyone at Fairfield high school wanted to be with Colin. The whole student body at Fairfield high thought that Brittany had everything but in reality she didn’t. She had a sister that had mental issues and her parents were never home so Brittany had to take care of her. Finally the first day of school came. Brittany is luckily in the same chemistry class as Colin but she is also with the most dangerous person in their school Alex Fuentes. Little to find out Brittany is Alex’s chemistry partner. Colin is kind of jealous because he thinks that Alex will take Brittany away from him. Through out the book many things happen to Alex, Brittany, and Colin. Also Brittany has to make some tough choices.

I would recommend this book because I thought that it was very good. Some of the stuff you can relate to but on the other hand some stuff you can’t. If I had to rate this book I would rate it a 9 out of 10 because some of the stuff wouldn’t happen in real life.

Argentar p.5

I read the book called She Said Yes by Misty Bernall. I was about a girl who got shot in a school shooting, and her mom tells the story of Cassie’s life. She had a pretty tough life. Cassie didn’t really know who she was. Her parents disapproved of the friends she had because of the kind of influence they had on Cassie. It got to a point where they moved Cassie to a different school and forbid her to see her old friends. Cassie’s mom also found notes that Cassie had wrote, threatening to hurt or kill her parents. Once her mom saw the notes she knew Cassie was in the wrong group. It was then up to Cassie to discover who she really was, and she ended up getting into her religion. Since she was into religion it all goes back to why she was shot.

I think this was a very good book. I would give it a 9 out of ten because it was very interesting and I never wanted to put the book down. This is a good book, but its something that should be taken seriously.

As a rookie, it is though to take over an all-stars job. Lou Mills the all-star third baseman will not let him in easily. After Lou was sick one game, Ted had to fill in with the job. He played great and magically the next game Lou was feeling a lot better. He was nervous and at his age he can’t risk letting a rookie keep playing. If Ted gets better, there is more and more chance Lou would lose his job. The only thing standing in Ted’s way from becoming a great third baseman is Lou. Lou is putting up a battle and the better he does, the less Ted plays. Every game Ted is in he proves himself as a great player. But, for some reason the manager won’t put him in the game. Will Ted become the team’s third baseman and maybe bring them to a world series, or will Lou keep his job.

Mr. Argentar- 7

Sam Carrier or Jack Keegan as his real father named him. Old Bill the step father, has change his name to Sam and now after graduation, he must pay for his rent or get out. Sam has enough of Bill and finds a job with the crazy old coot. One thing that Sam wasn’t looking for but he came upon it, was him trying to learn about his father. The rest of the story is him finding himself and learning about his father.

The book is sad but one you cant put down. Every stop is new and different. You do feel and wish hes dad was secretly alive and waiting for him at his last stop, but it never happens but these are the best books that makes you think and puts you in the characters shoes. This is one of them.

Review by: Stephanie P Argentar period 5

Have you ever had to move to a different school? Well in the book The Clique that is what Claire the main character is facing. Her family was running low on money so they decided to move in to the guesthouse of Claire’s dad friend’s house. The house was in Westchester New York. The Block’s whose house Claire and her family were staying at weren’t a family like Claire’s family. The Block’s were the richest family in New York. They had the biggest and best of everything. Their Daughter Massie was one of those snotty rich kids. Massie and her friends Dylan, Alicia, and Kristen didn’t accept Claire because she wasn’t like them. There were two reasons why Claire was not like them. One was because Claire’s family didn’t have a lot of money like the others and the second reason was because, Claire didn’t dress they way that the “Clique” dressed. Claire dressed in keds and two year old gap overalls. To Massie this was not the way to dress. She thought that she was not cool and that she didn’t belong to her group. Claire has to face many obstacles to be like Massie and her friends and try to fit in.
I would recommend this book. I thought it was really good. It was interesting to see how other people look down on people that are not like them. IF I had to rate this book I would give it a 10 out of 10.
