I think this book will be good for people who like adventure, and like when there are a lot of flash backs. Personally i don’t like flashbacks at all and this book is filled with flashbacks.

Wise 7

This book is about a little boy named David. This is a sequel to the book A child Called “IT”. He is a boy who has gotten beat my his mom and he used to live in the garage at his house while his mom, dad, and two brothers were in the house. He finally decided to run away and is trying to find new homes at Foster Homes and he is getting transferred about every year and is struggling to find the love of a family.

I think this is a really good book because some kids lives are actually like this and it really makes you think because you would never actually realize what some kids go through on a day by day basis compared to your life. This also shows different perspectives on his life and how he would look at things opposed to you. And i think many people that read this book will actually thing its really touching and sad.

Can one man change the world of music? Can one man be know by everyone in the world? Can one Man inspire music to the whole world? That man could be John Lennon.

“Revolution, The story of John Lennon talks about the history of John Lennon and the Beatles. It talks about the struggles he goes through as a child and as a teen and how he overcame his struggles by being one of the most famous musicians in the world. It talks about how John ended up marrying Yoko Ono, how the Beatles broke up, why Mark David Chapman decided to murder John Lennon. If you love music, and the Beatles, then i highly recommend you read Revolution The story of John Lennon.

Review By Julia F.

Argentar period 5

A Child Called “It” is a true story about a boy who is living a very abusive life as a child. In the beginning of her child hood her mom loves her just as much as she loves he other siblings. As time goes on her mom gets more and more dangerous and mad. The father of the kids try’s to help Dave as much as he can but sometimes it gets way out of hand and he can’t do much. Dave’s mom experiments with a lot of different ways of punishing Dave but it eventually turns in to torture. He try’s to get through each and everyday by eventually not talking at all and granting each of his moms commands. Does Dave get through his rough child hood or not? You will have to read the amazing book to find out.

I think that this book was very good for a mature audience. It helps people notice that life can be so much worse than what we think and we are lucky for living in such a good environment with wonderful people around us. It is a good book about one child’s struggle to survive.

Mr. Argentar- 5th Period

This Biography is about a boy name Rey Rey who was was beaten physically by his mother and stepfather. His stepfather had sent him to live with a stepbrother who couldn’t care less whether he came home or not. He soon learned to survive on the streets of Chicago. He also depended on the gang he belonged to, which was The Latin Kings. He had performed his first hit at the age of 14. His nickname was Lil Loco as he became known for his reputation for crazy violence.

This story is about the ranks of Chicago and about the gangs that are well known and one of those gangs are The Latin Kings. This is a dangerous rival gang which it didn’t matter if you killed your members of your gang, family or friend. This was just another war between gangs and hoods. And this book has all of that! This book is about gang, violence, sex, drugs, love, honor and loyalty.

Review by Mr. Bradford

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a “movie-holic” I love movies – of all eras. As a result, I was excited to pick up “Jimmy Stewart: A Biography” by Marc Eliot. Stewart is often regarded as one of the greatest movie actors ever; many of his films (including “It’s A Wonderful Life) are considered all time classics.

This well written biography succeeds on two levels. First, it gives a wonderful overview (including many juicy stories) about the films and actors associated with Jimmy Stewart. Second, it offers insight into the character of a man who was shy and introverted, and thus hard to know on a deep level. Eliot shows how the people and events in Stewart’s life shaped both his personality and his acting.

I am now anxious to read more by this talented author and I am also anxious to read more about some of Stewart’s co-stars.
