Wallace Wallace, the guy with the name so nice you have to say it twice; has become a person who never lies. And is known for being the football hero of Berford because he scored the lucky championship touchdown. But when he gets pulled out of football to go to detetion, (which is really the drama club) things change for Wallace. He starts to take over the directors poisition from, Mr. Fogelman; and spices up the play Old Shep My Pal. But will he get a chance to go back to football? And if he does will he acutally go back, or stay with the play?

No more dead dogs was a good and comical book. Each paragraph would be in the view of a differnt character in the book. So i did enjoy the way it was written. I would give it a rating of 8 out of 10. So if you want to read a happy and funny story I would recomend this book to you.

Brown, 3rd Period

The book I chose to read is called The Jester by James Patterson. It is about a man named Hugh De Luc who lives in a small town called Veille du Père with is wife Sophie. He then heads off on a “Crusade” fighting for Christianity, though he did not believe in it. He was doing it so he and his wife could be free. When he came back, to his horror, he found out that attackers had raided his town looking for a priceless relic and killed his son that had been born while he was gone. They had also kidnapped his wife. Hugh now embarks on a journey to find his wife and get revenge on those who had done what they’d done to his friends and family.

My favorite part in the book, or the part that really got me up and reading, was the part where Hugh follows the path that the attackers took to find his dear Sophie. Along the way, he fights this boar that attacks him as he was laying to rest. In the end, he kills the boar and lies on the side of the road, waiting for God to take him. To his luck, a beautiful woman named Emilie, from the beautiful city called Boreè, and some of her riders, picked him up and brought him to their city to heal him. When Hugh woke up lying in a bed, he finally got his chance to meet Emilie, his savior. After they became close in a couple days, he told her what he was doing. She decided to help him, or give him a pretext. She took him to Boreè’s jester, Norbert. At first, Norbert didn’t see anything of Hugh. But after Hugh had shown Norbert one incredible trick, Norbert decided to train him. Hugh was ready after two weeks. He now wore a jester suit that was sewn by Emilie, and he heads to a city where his liege stays: Treille. His plan is to become the jester of Treille and sneak into the dungeon and look for Sophie. Little does he know, he’s about to encounter a lot more than he expects. And So will you.

In the beginning of the book there is a boy name Vince who is going on his first and last date(Flashback) with a girl named Angela. They were going to the beach and when they got there it became horrible. Angela and Vince were having a great time but then she wanted for a blanket so Vince goes to his trunk and opens it and sees a dead body bleeding all over his blanket. Later on him and his friend are going to a college party but Vince has to go to his brothers house. When he gets there is this girl that starts flirting with him and wants to do it with him. He got a HOOKER as an apology from his brother and his dad for the dead body in his car. Then he tells his friend about the story but the thing is he didn’t do it. His friend starts screaming at him saying your one chance to do it and you didn’t. In the middle of the book Two guys ask him if he wants to hang out but they go to a strip club which they call a Man club. They were to young to stay and if they get caught they get kicked out, but Jimmy and Ed want them to go to the owner and use his last name so that they could stay. Later on in the book He is going out with a girl named Kendra her dad is an FBI agent and her dad didn’t know that they were going out till later and found out that Vince was apart of the mob.( well thinks he is). So her dad tells her that Vince was taking money from some random guy. The next day Vince goes up to her at school and they start talking but then she says I’m sorry we can be together anymore and then she explains why, while everyone is gathering around.

I would recommend this book because its funny and you would get to know how well your life is compared to Vince’s. This book is comedy and a little sad but mostly comedy. So if you like comedy you should definitely read this book.
